Pastoral Care

A Home of Purposeful Companionship

At SGIS Pune, our strength lies in the richness of human relationships and a genuine sense of belonging that runs through the school community. As a leading coeducational boarding and day school, we provide a nurturing environment where every student feels supported, seen, and inspired to grow.

Community That Cares

Life at SGIS revolves around meaningful connections-among students, between students and mentors, and across cultures. Whether in the classroom, the House, or at shared meals, we foster respect, empathy, and a sense of purpose in all interactions.

Boarding Life: A Strong Sense of Belonging

Our seven residential Houses are the heart of student life. Each House is more than just a place to stay-it’s a close-knit community where students form lifelong friendships, develop confidence, and learn to live with integrity and independence. Guided by Housemasters, Houseparents, and mentors, students experience a vibrant home away from home.

Personal Mentorship

Every student at SGIS is supported by a dedicated personal mentor who offers individual academic guidance and emotional support. This system ensures that each child’s progress is closely monitored and nurtured throughout their SGIS journey, in partnership with families.

Diverse and Inclusive

With students from across India and around the world, SGIS Pune is proudly international. Our global student body brings cultural richness and shared learning that broaden perspectives and deepen mutual understanding.

A Balanced Weekly Rhythm

Our weekly schedule is structured yet balanced.

  • Academics: Monday to the first half of Saturday
  • Evenings & Weekends: A rich mix of activities including outdoor adventures, creative arts, cultural events, clubs, service initiatives, and social gatherings

This holistic approach nurtures intellectual curiosity, personal discipline, and joyful living.

Safeguarding & Student Welfare

The wellbeing and safety of our students is our highest priority. SGIS Pune is fully compliant with the POCSO Act, 2012, and adheres to the 2017 NCPCR User Guide. Our Child Welfare Committee ensures that safeguarding protocols are consistently followed.
