At SGIS Pune, we are proud to offer The International Award for Young People (IAYP) — the world’s leading youth empowerment programme that encourages students to develop essential life skills beyond academics. With no religious, political, or strategic affiliations, this non-competitive Award fosters personal growth, leadership, and community spirit among young people across 130+ countries.
The Award is open to all students between the ages of 14 and 25 and is structured into three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Through participation, students engage in meaningful activities that nurture community service, adventure, physical recreation, and skill development. The programme is designed to be inclusive, allowing every participant, regardless of background or ability, to discover their personal strengths, resilience, and passions.
SGIS Pune is a recognized Youth Engaging Society (YES) Centre of the IAYP. As a YES Centre, we extend the Award Programme beyond our campus, collaborating with IAYP India to deliver training, workshops, and outreach, making the Award accessible to the wider community. This platform enables students who may not have direct access through their institutions to participate and benefit from this transformative journey.
Our students not only participate in outdoor expeditions and service projects but also join prestigious national and international forums, contributing to global conversations on youth leadership and sustainable development. SGIS Pune remains committed to nurturing future-ready, compassionate, and responsible citizens through the IAYP journey.
